Meet The Face Behind Haley Wheeler Photography
I’m Haley Wheeler, the proud owner of Haley Wheeler Photography.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
From the moment I took my first darkroom photography class in high school, my love for photography began. I volunteered as a photo assistant and would plan shoots and go out with friends and family to click photos. To enhance my expertise, I completed a creative photography degree and then polished my skills by assisting a couple of photographers, including some of the top commercial photographers in Toronto. Simultaneously, I gained some valuable experience in sales and marketing, which helped me set up my own venture.
Over the past four years of being actively involved in photography, I’ve noticed that the photography industry has become a lot more competitive, as advances in technology have made people perceive that they can take perfect photos. Despite this industry disruptor, I have proved that with hard work and dedication you can succeed.
I owe my success to being passionate about what I do, and it’s this trait that keeps me going during challenging times. Maintaining excellent communication and staying committed to my clients’ photography needs have also played a vital role in my success.
While success is great, the most fulfilling part of my job is seeing my clients’ reactions to the final images, when I bring their ideas to life or capture priceless memories. I also get excited seeing people post my pictures on social media handles, and set them as their profile pictures.
Very recently I was photographing portraits for a friend of mine, and when he introduced me to his co-workers, he said: “This is the photographer who has taken my all-time favorite photo of myself.” It’s these candid responses that give me immense satisfaction.
I believe that I have been able to create a niche for myself due to my efficiency, dependability, open-mindedness, and loyalty which builds trust and makes my work fun and rewarding.
When I am not planning my next photo shoot, I love spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy crafting, playing guitar, longboarding, and working out. I regularly attend events around the city and aim to support the local art community.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
